Pictures and text by Andy Cheng

Niseko Village is a ski resort in Hokkaido, Japan. It is a three-and-a-half hour drive from Sapporo. This ski resort is famed for its powder snow. At an elevation of 1300 meters above sea level and set in the path of the cold stream from Mongolia, Niseko receives 50cm to 60cm of snow overnight in the winter.
